Vlees Bay driving the sand dunes, South Africa

On Saturday a group of friends and I went to drive the sand dunes in Vlees Bay.  We only got really stuck once, which did take a good half an hour of digging to free the jeep!  Check out the photos to see the adventure we had.

De Hoop, South Africa

What an amazingly beautiful place, De Hoop has safari for animals, like deer, zebra, baboons, ostrich etc…  But it also has sand dunes and ocean with sandy beaches and rock pools to play in.  One of my favourite places in South Africa so far.

Night time shoot at De Hoop, South Africa

The night time shoot was a lot of fun, still unsure as to how successful it was, but fun all the same.  We played around with light to create the tree and the faces and then long exposures for the stars.

Macro Lens at “De Hoop”, South Africa

I love the macro lens, it makes even the most uninteresting objects appear exciting.  I got totally lost at De Hoop in my own little Macro world, small plants became trees and little ants became a meter long in my mind.   Go find your Macro world!
